Vineland Construction Powers Ahead with Sustainable Solutions in Lawnside, NJ
Vineland Construction is no stranger to the benefits of harnessing solar energy, and their commitment to sustainability shines brighter than ever with their latest endeavor in Lawnside, NJ. Having successfully completed two prior solar projects in collaboration with TerraSol Energies, Vineland Construction has once again embraced the power of the sun to enhance their new projects.
The most recent addition to Vineland’s solar portfolio is a large warehouse located in Lawnside, NJ, leased to Rheem Manufacturing Company. Recognizing the vast potential of utilizing the expansive flat roof of the warehouse, Vineland opted for a ballasted flat roof array to efficiently generate green power for the facility.
The solar system comprises 1416 high-efficiency 440W solar panels, boasting a total capacity of 623kWdc. In its inaugural year of operation, this sustainable initiative is projected to generate an impressive 778,750 kWh. The financial viability of the project is bolstered by the 30% Investment Tax Credit (ITC), accelerated depreciation, and the attractive Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) program, ensuring a commendable three-year payback period.
Vineland Construction took a proactive approach to integrate solar into their building plans, engaging TerraSol Energies in the early stages of site electrical design. By considering solar readiness during the initial phases of construction, Vineland minimized costs and maximized the return on their solar investment.
The collaborative effort not only benefits Vineland Construction but also creates a win-win situation for their tenant, Rheem Manufacturing Company. Rheem gains access to lower-cost renewable energy, contributing to their sustainability goals, while Vineland solidifies a positive, long-term relationship with a satisfied client.
Vineland Construction’s commitment to incorporating solar energy into their projects underscores the importance of sustainable practices in the construction industry. As they continue to grow their solar portfolio with each new building, Vineland sets an inspiring example for the integration of green technologies in commercial construction, paving the way for a more environmentally conscious future.
