Voters Want Solar
The results are in, and homeowners who have converted to solar energy are happy with their service! According to a study conducted by BrightCurrent, 91% of solar customers would recommend that their friends make the switch. The polled 200 customers who have had solar panel systems installed within the last 5 years. Over 30 different solar companies were responsible for those installations, showing that solar customers are satisfied across the board. The general public still shows mixed opinions, but we recommend you take advice from those who see the benefits of solar panel installation firsthand — existing customers. According to the PV Solar Report blog, the study did note that the biggest challenge facing the solar industry is not price or equipment but misinformed consumers.
Below, you can see an infographic created by the Solar Energy Industries Association in September 2012. It depicts the ways Americans had been voting in regards to solar power, and shows an overall positive attitude. In 2012, 9 out of 10 voters believed it was important for the U.S. to develop and use solar power. Since then, the solar industry has only grown more successful.
