Customer Relationship Manager

The objective of the Customer Relationship Manager is to own the business processes to manage high quality sales leads for the company. The CRM is responsible for ownership of the lead qualification process including management of the lead database, incoming lead prioritization and demand, and reporting on the ROI for all lead generation programs. The CRM will be knowledgeable of solar specific topics, including but not limited to, the solar industry, how solar works, interconnection policies, solar rebate programs, solar system design (general), and product specific knowledge. This exceptionally qualified candidate will utilize their strong communication skills to build relationships from initial contact with a prospective client to the acquisition of a customer.

Travel Time: Less Than 5%
Estimated Salary: $36,000 – $42,500
Annual PTO: 15 days

  • Lead Database Management
    • Salesforce client lead database management.
    • Input contact information and record key lead metrics.
    • Follow procedures from when lead is received to input record into client lead database.
    • Update daily activity to accurately reflect the status of prospects.
    • Lead development reporting
      • Export Salesforce client lead data to reporting tools.
      • Client lead metrics include:
        • Volume / Frequency from lead channel
        • Aging tasks
        • Time in task
        • Close Ratio
        • Profitability
      • Various categorizations of client lead characteristics
  • Technical Training
    • Communication with client leads to convey TSE recommendation.
    • Technical knowledge of TSE products and services applicable to prospects.
    • Technical knowledge of TSE financing methods applicable to prospects.
    • Introductory knowledge of solar system design and mechanisms.
    • Introductory knowledge of regulatory environment for solar applications.
  • Lead Qualification Process
    • Initial contact with qualified leads.
    • Task tracking throughout process. From prospects initial interest to preliminary qualification handoff.
    • Assess and address prospect’s initial questions and concerns.
    • Qualify prospect on probability to purchase.
    • Identify goals and determine next steps for prospect’s requests.
    • Identify solution to best meet prospect requirements.

Future Responsibilities:

  • Outside Vendor Communication
    • Coordination with suppliers
  • Lead Generation Channel Management
    • Analysis of client lead contact channel
      • e. Collaboration with Marketing team to determine digital marketing ad message and distribution.
    • Coordination with Marketing Team to determine:
      • Optimization of “winning” lead channel.
      • Reallocation of “losing” lead channels.
    • Quote Generation
      • Follow procedures to generate generic quote for interested prospects.
      • Utilize TSE proprietary financial spreadsheets, preliminary estimate workbooks, and solar specific design tools.


  • Education:
    • 4 Year Degree in Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science.
  • Experience:
    • 2 Years Process Management or Database Management in the workforce.
    • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (recommended).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effectively communicate via phone conversation.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Familiarity with a CRM software (Salesforce recommended).
  • Strong online navigation and database organization skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher creation, navigation, and reporting skills.
